Mr. Scott, So, you have cut the bolt. And it is now frozen in the flange. You would not heat it up to knock it out? Now you want to use the tail pipe again. They are threaded into the muffler flange. I wonder how dremel tool would solve this. Heat is an important tool, if you have the right kind. Propane bottle is not the answer here. Not hot. Acetaleyne / oxygen is.

I have been using a Dremel Moto tool with cutting disc on all my muffler repairs. Cut it directly and no messing around with heating torches...... Scott '91 DDoor GL
