Thank you all for your responses.  I decided to purchase a used vc from
a list member.  It is amazing to find such great people.  This job was
almost out of my reach, but thanks to this community I am able to get
her functioning again.  I just wanted to say thank you to this
community.

Hello All.
I have an 87 syncro with a toasted VC.  Actually I think all the fluid
has leaked out of my vc making my front diff useless.  I am in need to
fix this issue but due to loosing my job I have little funds to do it
with.  I have found a complete front diff in a salvage yard for 300
bucks.  It comes with a 30 day guarantee so I think I might go that
rout, but before I do I thought I would see if anyone on the list might
have a used vc they would sell me.  I don't know what I am getting with
the salvaged front diff, and it would be better if someone would part
with a used known working vc.  Anyway your help would be appreciated.
