Eric- The AC pump for the Vanagon or PS pump will not fit on the G-J
brackets. You have to use G-J components uless you are good at fabrication-
and fabrication in a SA sweatshop got us into this mess to begin with.
So my advice to simplify things has one catch- you have to have the AC lines
adapted to the G-J AC comp and have inline adapters for high and low fill
ports.
I have this in mine , a local aircraft hose place made me up a pair of foot
long adapters, I still need the fill adapters.
Those aren't exactly cheap, and I have put it off because we don't have hot
summers and I haven't gone on any cross country road trips the last few
years.
There's a tendency to try to save and use the Vanagon AC comp and PS pump
and alternator.
Unfortunate side effect is that in order to have the better brackets, you
need to use what comes with G-J .

Robert,
It seams to me as those the Ac from a Vanagon
would work on the golf/Jetta setup? The only different
I can see is the location of the wiring, and the hose
connections? Have you tried this?
