I have a problem with posts with no caps and sketchy punctuation. If you want help, why make readers struggle to read what you're trying to say?

Everything else being equal, there's no reason why new heads, in and of themselves, would cause an engine to run extremely rich. I suppose I could conjure up scenarios where there was a specific problem with the old heads, or injectors, or something, that was compensated for by turning up the fuel/air mixture and, once you had good heads in place, the rich fuel/air mixture now reared its ugly head. But to answer your direct question, no. Now you need to find out why it's running rich when it wasn't before, I assume. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Reggie Rainard" <reelax27@YAHOO.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2003 6:40 PM Subject: 1990 vanagon heads
