Really interesting thread.

I bought mine for 400 Can, it was a rainy Sunday, cold. The guy was wasted and a sleep at 3 PM and could not care less about this van or the state of the planet or the weather. His girlfriend was screaming at him, he often stopped talking to scream back.

He had just blown the starter and was on his way to Alaska for some sort of deal he had in the making.

I had to replace all the interior upholstery and the foam, I dismantled the all thing and repainted the interior. Found 100 $ behind the sink cabinet, gave 50 $ to each of my kids. Scrubbed, painted and cleaned some more, reassembled, major tune up and happily camped all summer all over the pacific north west with my family of four.

During the winter I rebuilt a spare engine from a 200 Can $ van (which drove itself to my house and was actually a shame to brake for parts.)and did all sort of other improvements, this summer will be even more fun.

And when I sell it, NEVER, I will get my money back.

These are great and simple cars, rather fun to work on. It is the ultimate motor head freedom, to live in your car and drive your house.

These deals are out there. Good luck.

Regards, Andrea
