Subject: 1981 starting problem
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Yesterday after driving for some time I stopped to get a SCSI cable at a store. When I came back out I could not start the van. The symptoms were: 1. turn the key and I could hear a couple relays clicking in the front dash region. However there was no juice (assumption) to the starter. The starter just acted like it was not getting any juice. Tried several times and the same symptoms. Pounded on the passenger side of the dash once and tried again... It turned over, juice was flowing again to the starter.

So...... I assume it must be the relays under the dash ??? What relays under the dash might be suspect ???
