It takes less than a quart but I'd suggest that you run some brake system cleaner thorough your system and get some cotton swabs from an old T shirt and scrub out the reservoir very good (get all the black gunk out). Don't pump your brake pedal more than about an inch was you bleed the system, if you put your MC plunger in a new unused area it will sometimes score your seals and cause the MC to fail. While you're right in there I'd pull the MC and swab out any brake fluid in the booster. If you've got a clutch remember to bleed the clutch slave too. Extra time but it probably needs to be done.
