"I only kept track of a sizes up to 215/75R because that's the largest size that will fit in a modified spare tire carrier."

I have the Volks Cafe modified spare tire carrier. I just put a 225/60 16 in there this morning. The steering rod rubs the tire ever so slightly so I'm dropping the connecting point of the carrier by 1" by using extenders (modified hinges I got at Lowe's today) so there is no rubbing. Lotsa ground clearance left on my '87 Syncro Westy in front. I'll post pics when I'm done so anyone interested can peek.

Bob
