Damn shame someone removed Fuel Injection........by far superior to that weber 2 bl..........I would keep my eyes peeled for the injection..........most likely the carb is not tuned right..and not giving you any where near the power you should have, and is running rich or lean somewhere in its operating curve. I say this from experience.90% of the people that use those carbs take them out of the box and bolt them on. Never adjust them.

As to the 009 distributor.............totally wrong for your motor.....nowhere near enough advance. Since you are limited in your options with the Weber carb now, buy an 050 from the bus depot. It comes complete with points cap and rotor for like $80...........then you will have a lot more power.
