I got 25.2 MPG (imperial) on my last trip, which involved lots of long hills, but also
some easy flat cruising at 90-100 km/h. I suspect keeping the speed at 90km/h
(55mp/h) could yield 26-28mpg on a flat road. For those US listees, whenever you
see a posting from a Canadian (or if liters/km are mentioned), the MPG figure is
likely to be in imperial gallons, since that's what the rest of the world uses (or used to
use before liters) ;-)

ps: I just got a beautiful '85 Jetta D with *no* rust for a daily driver, so mileage on the
van is no longer a regular worry... :-)
