I'll put in a plug for someone else's page.  The approach suggested on
http://www.knology.net/~vw/vanagon/sag/ soungs like a good one to me.
Haven't tried it yet, but eventually I plan to do something like this to
fix the "Westy kitchen lean" on my van.
