I'll second that... 87 Weekender for $1k... it's a little rusty but I can't see it from the inside... I added an awning from Shady Boy that really adds to the campablilty...

Also I just got an '86 Vanagon Camper GL for 600$USD...... and drove it to work today, no problems! The interior and exterior is mint too!!

Keep your eyes open, and eventually you'll find something. One thing..... I suggest you keep your eyes open for OTHER types of vehicles too. VW is great, but some other companies made nice vans too!
