Okay, here's the deal. I've got a 1985 Westy, automatic. She's running well until yesterday when all of a sudden on the freeway she develops a stutter at 2800-3000 rpm (about 45-48 mph in drive). Below it okay; over it okay. Only does it when engine warm; cold okay. Starts fine, too. I've got a new AFM, 02 sensor, new-used ECM. Extra info: It had been sitting for the winter. This was the first time out. I put a thing of NAPA injector cleaner in the tank. After about a three-fourths of a tank I stopped for more gas, thought I'd better add another can, this time of Gum-Out injector cleaner. The stuttering started about fifteen miles down the road after that. Just chance or significant? Since then I've run most of the gas through, but the stuttering continues. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Charles '85 Westy |
