Well, my trusty '88 Wolfy died on me the other day. It had been cutting out briefly for the last few days, just a split second then it would be fine. I remember thinking to myself, "I wish it would just die so I could find the problem." Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it. The symptoms were common enough, it would start then die as soon as the starter stopped turning. However, none of the usual culprits were found guilty, all relays were okay, as were the ignition and fuel injection components. Finally, I decided to swap out the ECU... low and behold the connector to the ECU had come loose. I plugged it back in and everything was back to normal. Never seen that one before. Cheers, Jeff |
