Hello, I have an '85 (WV2XB025XFH081554) that will not run. It _will_ run on starting fluid for a few moments, but that's all. There is absolutely no fuel comming from the injectors. The pump is running, and there is fuel in the lines and hoses. From what I can gather from my green Vanagon manual, I should see some voltage at the injector connectors durring starting/running. The manual (and a few archived vanagon.com messages) mention a fluctuating voltage while cranking. The information is a little vague, when should the connector be "on" and when should it be "off"? Mine are always "off". There is a wonderful section on diagnosing "no injector power" in the green manual, but it refers to the air-cooled versions, and components that my engine does not have (namely a dual relay). Where do I start looking? Thanks for your guidence, Dan Brideau |
