Markus, If you can pull off the drums do so just to look at the brake shoes and the adjustment mechanism. The brakes are self adjusting but this mechanism can jam with age. An inexpensive brake tool will allow you to adjust the brakes with the drums ON but perhaps with the tires off. Adjust until you feel a light drag of the shoe against the drum.
