since i didn't manage to sell my vanagon for a decnet price, i'm gonna keep it.

problem that is driving me nutz:

high idle.

car will rest somewhere between 2000-3000 rpm for days at a time and then drops down to normal "when it choses to".

I've checked and replaced all vaccuum hoses for this vanagon- so it can't be that. changed the idle control valve- can't be that. haven't checked the idle control sensor- could be that. tuned up with all new plugs and wires? - yes

cleaned air intake checked and rechecked all wires on the engine.

what can i possibly be missing?
