non mine. but front outer cv failure- now what? respond to him ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 02 May 2003 22:19:04 +0000 From: lukas <sheronda1@tesco.net> Dear All, While parking a heared a snapping sound and I believe my outer front CV joint is gone. The drive shaft is movable quite a bit inside the cv boot. I have a decoupler and the bus drives ok. Need to drive back home (1000km). There is no chance of getting a new cv joint before I get home. Do I have to remove the whole joint though? Or can I just drive back home. Anything that could happen if I leave it in? I am a bit surprised that I had no warning befoer it happened. And even now it makes a "clonk" only once in a while... Thanks for your help. Lukas
