I just installed 4 KYB shocks from Bus Depot and getting a clunking sound when driving over some kinds of bumps (not all the time). I have tried re-torquing and have them about as tight as I can get the bolts. Is it possible the nuts are bottomed out on the end of the threaded portion of the bolts? Do I need to add a flat or lock washer? Can't tell exactly which one it is, sounds like driver's side, but not sure. Seems to me this was discussed before on the list. Make a suggestion: Install two at a time and test drive rather than all four at once! Original shocks were shot, although not leaking. Definite improvement over speed bumps.
