Mr. George If man was to use teflon seal on thread of plug gasket not important, and would be removed easy. Not think I guess. Du Bist Verruckt Good Morning, Fred E-mail message I used to use old oil drain plug washers until finally the plug stuck so tightly that I began to calculate what oversize I should use for the stripped out hole I was going to have to repair. I eventually got it out, but only after much tenuous peckering around. Right after that bit of fun and games, I went straight to the VW parts counter and bought a handful of the washers. The time spent to run over to the dealership was minor compared to the man-hours expended dealing with the stuck plug. I also came to the same conclusion about breaking out the torque wrench just for the singular task of tightening the plug. George |
