Post this and yes, you are falling off that turnip truck.
I had a thermodynamic teacher at UMass Dartmouth that took one look at this
class of electrical and computer engineers and told us " If I can teach you
the basics of a Carnot Engine, and keep you from falling into a free energy
from a perfect refrigerator scam, I'll have done my job".
He was right. We didn't need to know anymore about it than that. And you
need know nothing more than the only thing happening here is someone wants
to loosen 25 bucks from your pocket and put it in theirs.
I hope this isn't your regular mechanic.
