I've been spending a little time tweaking the 'tune' on this 66 Westy. Got a new sport muffler installed. I got past the popping (small backfires) and I'm trying to get these dual PICT34s tuned and balanced. I've sinked them, adjusted the throttle rods, adjusted the choke pull offs but the engine still seems to run out of juce about 6,000 rpms. If I shift at 5500 I can still get second gear scratch but that flat spot at 6 K is just nagging at me. Is there something that I've missed? I don't know much about these TypeI engines.
