Joe, Everyone always ask if your using 20w50? If you are I am curious why a person could not just turn the lifter in until the noise goes away. Perhaps it is not sticking but just a bit on the loose side because it no longer holds it's fluids so well. I bet a lot of us don't hold are fluids as well as we used to? gary Date: Wed, 7 May 2003 14:10:51 -0400 From: joe lucca <joe_lucca@HOTMAIL.COM> Subject: sticky lifter Is marvel mystery oil the solution for a sticky lifter? that horrible ticking sound comes and goes but lately it has been staying! somebody suggested the marvel mystery oil. Can anyone offer any other suggestion? Is it difficult to open up the pushrod tube and replace the lifter. thanks joe 1986 vanagon buffalo, ny
