Just my two cents worth.

I recently towed my '91 Carat 4 sp from Durham to Columbia, about 250 miles. I rented a U-Haul dolly but in order to do so I had to provide a heavy enough tow vehicle with a "class 1" hitch. I borrowed a friends F250 4wd to do the job. It worked well and cruised at 50-60 all the way.

The tranny broke 100 miles later but I dont believe there is a connection. If its an automatic, dont forget to pull the drive shafts out.

cheers, Steve cotsford
