Now THAT is interesting... IF it's reliable! Subaru has no diesel experience, to my knowledge, like Honda (though they may have investigated and even built prototype engines), and neither company has ever manufactured one (if you see a "Honda" diesel, rest assured it's an Isuzu with Honda badges.

Hopefully the ?ED30 wil be DOHC 24V common-rail direct-injection and supercharged.
