Tell him that you can't accept his offer until you discuss it with your
attorney.
#1) A judge wouldn't even hear your case until it went to arbitration.
#2) They can't even go to court for less than $5000.00
#3) You're going to shop comparables on various VW for sale lists and
print them out for him.
What you want to do here is get enough that you can let the Westy go on
it's way and you can be so busy counting your cash that it will blank
your memory of it.
If you get enough go get another comparable Westy.
If it has $4000.00 in damages you might not want it back even if it were
repaired ............. somewhere close to right, which is about the best
you might get these days.
Kinda fixed, but not really!
