Temperature sensitive? Gee... maybe something that tells the ECU the temperature of the motor? Like the temp sensor II. Dunno about the digifant system, but your symptoms certainly indicate that the ECU is receiving bogus input. You know, GIGO (garbage in, garbage out.) Were it mine, I would determine which sensor tells the ECU the motor temperature and replace it. "New" components have been known to fail.
