If fill tube nut is leaking remove it and apply a coat of teflon sealer. It comes in tube, works good. If the gasket for pan is leaking, take out the rear two bolts first, slowly remove the front ones at the same time,to half the distance to be removed. Pan will fall at angle right into drain pan, no mess. put new gasket on pan, and put back up. Service transmission filter while pan is off. One more thingo check. The copper seals at the cooler. They leak often. It won't hurt checking to see if leak is coming from there too.

I did a check underneath my Westfalia 87 to see where the automatic transmission oil was leaking from. I have noticed a kind of pan where the dipstick conduit ends. There is some leak coming from the conduit and all around the pan. I also check my automatic transmission oil level while the motor was running and the level was between the two marks. Could it be only a matter of gasket or o-ring? Thank you for your replies. Germain
