Hi,

I am about to add a low voltage relay kit to my starter and have a question.

First, the kit I am going to install is the one documented in a file from the vanagon.com archives. Here is a link to that article:

http://gerry.vanagon.com/files/technical/how-to/starter-solenoid-fix.txt

This kit calls for using a "generic Ford truck solenoid". The solenoid is placed ahead of the starter solenoid and is presumably able to operate in low voltage conditions.

Before I put the new solenoid in I want to make sure the Ford solenoid will operate in low voltage conditions. Does anyone know the specs on this solenoid?
