If I remember correctly, the hoses running between the
front and rear of the van are different I.D.'s. Any
A/C shop should be able to get you the correct size
splice, but I wouldn't recommend going that route. I
had a splice in the hose that runs between the back of
the compressor and the condensor and every summer, the
hose clamps that secured it would loosen, I'd find a
small puddle of orange refrigerant oil under the van
and I would lose all my R-12 ($200.00 worth at the
time).

I would replace both of the A/C lines (they are at
least 15 years old if they have never been replaced
before) that run from front to back on the van. One
runs between the condensor and the receiver/dryer,
while the other runs between the condensor and the
compressor, so there is no need to remove any interior
panels or cabinets to access them. The easiest (and
cheapest) way is to remove them, bring them to a
hydraulic hose shop and have them rebuilt using your
original ends if necessary. Then re-install with new
green o-rings and a new receiver/dryer, flush and
refill the system with R-134a. Next time you service
the evaporator/expansion valve, replace those o-rings.
