From what I've heard oxygenated fuel may be part of the issue.  It hardens
rubber.  I remember one person on the Type 2 list describing grabbing the
fuel line leading from the tank and having it snap like twig in his hand.


Replacement seems like cheap insurance to me.  With the engine in back
it's likely you won't smell a fuel leak before it finds an ignition
source.
