I love my wife and my grandkids. My opinion of my children varies from week to week, but that's another issue. On behalf of my wife and grandchildren, I choose to keep proper tires in good condition on all my vehicles, including my Vanagon. I pay perhaps an extra $150 or $200 a set to get the best. My wife and grandchildren are worth more than that to me. I do have a problem now, though. I pretty much always buy Michelin, and since we hate the French now, what happens when I need tires for one of my 5 vehicles? Are they really made in France? Who really owns Michelin?
