Eric et al,
If your head is weeping your best voice of
reason is how much coolant you are using. You also
have to stay in the habit of checking the coolant in
the coolant tank and not the overflow because the
overflow tank can be full and the coolant tank can be
empty when there is a small leak in the system. This
is not an easy task to do when you are camping as
there is something always on the hatch that must be
removed so you can check the coolant. If you do not
travel far from home or in hot climates it is easy to
deal with a weeping headgasket. On the other hand if
you will be traveling some distance in hot areas you
should treat it like a cracked radiator hose and fix
it. It is just not that big of a job particuliarly
if you are not on the road where you are likely to be
stranded and overcharged for a job you should have
done before you left. rambling on, gary

mine did and it did'nt even drip the seal was violated
and it was causing all kinds of coolant pushing AKA
air
in the system, I drove many miles to make it around,
maybe
like over 2000, but I was also having to dump my over
flow
tank just so it would'nt over flow and stray
everywhere, but
sometimes it did. kinda reckless but we made it.
before this
we got the van with a slow drip from a P.O and drove
it many miles and
it ran good. Now we have a rebuilt and its doing
fine.
