Can anyone help me identify the small gauge yellow wire that appears to emerge from and return to a large bundle right above the thermostat housing against the fire wall? My 87 westy has a stock yellow wire connecter at this point. Mine has a few cracks , and I plan to replace the worn portion. TIA. Philip Chidlaw Philip, if I'm not mistaken, that connector is the disconnect for the idle stabilizer valve. It is used during engine setup and tuning to disable the ISV. It's also handy when you're having ISV fast idle problems and you just can't take it anymore. Jeff Warner Galloway, OH '86 Wolfy Westy "Barry" Tangled up in VW harnesses and hoses. |
