I had a Tiico installed for me on my Syncro passenger Vanagon. Why did I have someone else do it? Simply because I didn't have time. I like the Tiico. The problems I've had with my Syncro have nothing to do with the Tiico, but rather the fact that it is a 17 year old vehicle and it has aged quite a bit (and I've driven it hard too.) I did have some issues with my installers, but that could have been true whether it was a Tiico or a WBX, or another car. I'm considering, but not absolutely locked in to having a Tiico installed in my Westy. Besides, I'm also trying to plan things so that I'll have LOTS of time to do the install myself. I like the idea of the WRX engine, and if I go that route I'll be in a unique position of having 3 different conversions in my Vanagons. As I'm not planning on selling any of them, that isn't a big deal to me. |
