I was wondering if anyone threwout thier vast years of vanagon driving ever had a clutch pedel go soft, it shifts eazy and the clutch pedel goes to the floor, hoping its not a throwout bearing or clutch plate gone bad? after driving a bit its hard shifting into first and second, hoping that maybe it might just be air and bleeding it would tighten it up, i'm running redline gear lube for many miles before this, clutch fluid looks good. ohh the bently said to bleed with a pressure bleeder is this correct? BTW it shifts faster off the start than before because of the pedel softness and also before this i had a little clunk sound from the pedel while putting it in, its an 85gl 4speed tranny, could be many things? thanks and happy Friday Joe flintstone |
