Subject: Re: Tiico Engine Questions

In the book of happy TiiCo Engine converters add me to the list...

As I've said many many time before... does anybody search the archives? Did anyone read the results of Alistair's survey? seemed mostly positive to me and I'm sure that people come to the list a lot more to complain then they do to praise. The happy ones are all out there enjoying there vans.

Look in the archives... I've had problems, but they were minor in light of dropping the "wrong" motor in the van. The few problems I had were expected and resolved without too much trouble and I truly feel I've had far fewer troubles than I've heard/seen/born witness to with Subaru conversions. I looked at doing a Subaru conversion for over a year before finally deciding it just wasn't worth the hassle of becoming the only person that would ever happily work on my van.

The one and ONLY complaint I have against TiiCo and Peter is the legality of this conversion under California smog laws. He's been claiming for nearly two years to be "weeks" away from an executive order to make them legal here and he's been less then open about his progress in getting an executive order. His utter disregard for the importance of this to the 50+ TiiCo owners in California is a glaring mark against his otherwise excellent customer service.
