It might be time for that walk.

I think you will find the mechanism that does not allow you to lock the driver's door without a key is part of the internal door mechanism, not part of the external handle. As near as I can tell the handles themselves are identical. And when swapped driver's side for passenger side work exactly as the original configuration with the driver's door still needing to be key locked, and the passenger door can still be locked with the button by the passenger you can't trust with a key.

When you get through with that passenger, will you please send me a few seeds. ;)
