Leon, Yes they do wear.  That's the main reason the bearings go bad.  The nut has lost its torque and the spacer wears due to not being under tension.  If the nut has been removed and retorqued at least once a year from new then the spacer would not wear.  You can of course measure it but the dimension is not available except to buy a new one and measure it.  The next time I get a new spacer in here I will do that and post that information to the List so it gets in the archives.  I have see situations where just replacing the spacer get the looseness out of the rear wheel bearing.  I always replace the bearings, spacers and seals just to be on the safe side.  I can't afford comebacks and the loss of time to go back in there a second time.
