Subject: brake pad recommendations...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

Hi Folks,

I recently bought a set of front bad pads for my 1986 Westy. It took me no time to put them on ... and, for the first 2 weeks they were more or less quiet.

Now, 30 days later ... holy cow ... I can't drive my van with out them squealing loudly/sharply every time I come to a stop, from 20 mph to 0.

I bought what my local parts store had in stock that day ... I was really low on pad wear and had to get something. They were only $24.00. ADP's or some such name. Nothing too remarkable about them. So .. I get what I pay for.

Now I am ready to pay more if need be and am looking for a good brand. Please, pass on any suggestions for brand, make, model or style (i.e. metalic vs semi). Price is not a factor. I just want quieter front brakes.

Thanks much, Cheers, dave
