This topic came up many years ago, when the California Camping Crazies were planning a trip up to Alaska or something (I may be way off on which trip got the subject started)... I don't know if it's too old to still be in archives, but if I remember correctly, Busgirl Martha Rubin (Forgive my spelling if it's wrong, Martha) was the one organizing the trip, so searching with her name in it, or CCC or California Camping Crazies, or Alaska or god knows what, maybe use FLANNEL as the keyword. But, the general concensus was that it would work to install the Synchro tank but you'd either need a separate filler neck at the back and one more fuel pump to isolate or transfer it's contents forward to the main tank, OR use just the existing filler neck at the front, and have two additional fuel pumps, one to transfer fuel back to the auxiliary tank when filling, and one to transfer fuel back forward as the main tank gets low, since the level of the two tanks is different and the surface level of a full front tank is much lower than the surface of a full rear tank. Wow, that's a run on sentence, sorry. But yes, I agree with you, People who have familiarity with both tanks should bounce the idea around on the list again, and if any of you actually did do a successful install of an auxiliary tank back then, let us know so we can show our awe. :)
