Mr.Rod, Be sure to keep the Super Van tires rotating every 3000 miles. Good tire but they do wear funny. The center will have tread and the sides won't very fast. I aslo had the tires cut to allow water and snow to be out from under the tires. These are hard tires and don't ride well in the wet. I think they called it siping whch helped much. I have 20 on them now and they are half gone. Not a long lasting tire, but good deal at discount Tire, with free balance and rotate for the life of the tire. Good Morning,

Fred

It's hard to beat Tirerack.com. Locally, I couldn't find the Yokohama Y356's that we just purchased for under $80 each. Tirerack.com had them for $49 each. They were also good at providing me with a list of installers that were near me. For another $50 and 45 minutes worth of our time, our Westy is rolling knee-deep in rubber like never before!!!!! I can also recommend the Yokohama "SuperVan" Y356 tires. They're fairly inexpensive, readily available and seem to be a very well built tire. I can't believe what a difference the right tires can make on these vans!!!! Replacing the passenger tires that the PO had installed was the best money we've ever spent on our van. No more of that rocking tugboat feeling in crosswinds or on corners. I actually fell like I'm connected to the road for once instead of rolling around on top of it!!! I can now take corners fearlessly and drive amongst the tractor-trailers without reservation A special thanks goes out to the list, especially TJ Hannink, for showing me the path, nudging me along and educating me as I began my journey into the vanagon tire continuum Ciao! I have most of the common U.S. ones in my area. My tires all have good tread, but I just noticed that the right rear is only load range B. The left rear is load range D, as are the two front tires. My idea is to put two new tires of the proper load range on the rear, and have the left rear mounted as my spare, since my current spare is completely bald and is showing signs of dry rot.
