ETKA: VW-Audi-Skoda-NSU(?) Electronic Parts Book.  Designed to run under
Windows. Works 'off-the-shelf' 95 through ME IIRC. Loading it under XP
is "challenging" I'm told. The program is an application so if one
wishes to use it on a Mac, one must do the following:

First, make sure that your monitor/vid card will do 1280x1024. If it
won't, you're not going to run ETKA with any degree of success..
Second, come up with a copy of Connectix (Now Micro$oft) Virtual PC. I
use Ver. 3 under 9.1
Third, come up with Windows. I use 98 second try. Seems to be the best
compromise of speed and stability.

Now that you've spent all that money (called in all those favors), make
sure that your processor is up to the task.  I *have* run it on a 225mhz
603e, but it was painful. My 250mhz 604 was better, but the 350mhz G3
makes it almost bearable. It can be done on older machines, but your
soon grow tired of clicking than going for coffee. Ideally you want a
gigahertz G4. ;) (don't we all!).

Anyway, load up VPC, load an OS then load ETKA. AFAIK, that's the only
way to use it on a Mac until someone figures out how to extract all the
data and Acrobat it.
