They are not stored as Acrobat files on the EKTA.

One could "rip" them using Acrobat, sending them to PDF writer, but sheesh, would be a long process.

As far as I can see its a proprietary format with "hyperlinks" embedded and a searchable database.

Good luck porting for other platforms!
