Get a filler spout for an antifreeze jug with the 'twist to open' on/off valve built right in, for a buck at any FLAPS. They fit right on the wide mouth oil jugs. I also bought a couple extra ones recently to replace the original leaky spigot type valves on my solar shower bags.
