Thanks to many who helped from my Sunday post deemed my Friday post for this week. I bought a new VW battery from the dealer (just to eliminate that *possible* concern on future warranty claim, if any) and you know what?? It's great. It's perfect except the radio seems to be locked up but maybe I can fix that. Amazing how a little insignificant voltage difference (9 volts more) can make. I drove it home on 3v. Now its 12.85 or more. Kewl. Modern electronics crave, in fact demand, good steady clean power. thanks HK
