For all you desk jockies like me, who yearn to take to the open road on a fulltime basis (or at least for a really long time), here's a virtual journey.

Michel van Velde and Elles Albering leave in three days to travel 35,000 kilometers in their 1976 Type 2 Camper van, driving from their home in the Netherlands to Bejing, China, via Italy, Iran, etc..

Besides embarking on a personal voyage of epic proportions, the young couple also hope to raise awareness of SOS-Children?s Villages, a global humanitarian organization specializing in providing support for young orphans.

They intend to post frequent journal entries and photos to their website:
