Got a call from them today, perhaps they read the list? They promised a fix...so I redact my original complaint.

How did you send it? If by courier, they should provide you with proof of receipt at CIP, and then send this to CIP. Don't give up - CIP has a good reputation to uphold, so I trust they will ultimately do the the right thing. I once had a similar problem with Ron's Parts (now RPI) where it took several calls to get a credit applied. In their case, I suspect it was just being disorganized, as I've met the guys and they are quite decent. (I've also met some of the CIP guys, but that was 5-6 years ago...) Perhaps a local list member could call them or drop by, and let them know that your story has now known to ~800 Vanagon owner (or whatever the number is now...)
