Paul,
Temp2 sensor measures the temperature of the
coolant and tells the ecu when engine is warm and to
lean out the mixture. Order one from busdepot for
under 10 dollars and get the oring too. It will be
blue. Look around the backside of the thermostat
housing on a 87 for one that looks like the one from
busdepot. Held on by a tricky little clip.
A cheap fix worth replacing even if it is not your
problem. gary
