Hello Volks. Last Sunday while on the highway I heard a snap and seemed to have run over something with my rear wheels. As I was getting home I heard some clunking in the back. I parked the van for two days, visually inspected the undercarriage but could not find anything amiss, no torn boots, hoses, etc. I ventured to my FLAPS to get some jack stands and on my way back the grinding noise got worse! This time I noticed that the right back wheel would seize when braking (I got my rear brakes done by a -special- mechanic two months ago) I now believe that my back brakes could be the culprit, however in the whole process I've decided to replace front and back brakes as well as bearings and service CV joints. Now my question: Can I use bearing grease to service the CV joints or must I use CV joint blessed grease??? Danke.
